Porsche

In our online shop we offer you the high quality OEM air spring compressors from WABCO and AMK for the Porsche Cayenne model. OEM means in this case that the air spring compressor from WABCO and the one from Porsche are identical. However, in terms of pricing, the original Porsche air spring compressor is significantly more expensive than the identical WABCO compressor in our online shop.

The Porsche air suspension system

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)

The Porsche Active Suspension Management is one of the first suspension systems from Porsche and is responsible for adjusting the shock absorbers. Porsche's electronic system has two different settings which can be selected by the driver (by pressing a button located in the centre console of the vehicle). The first driving program of PASM is the sporty-comfortable mode. This is basically intended for long distances. The other suspension, the sporty-strong mode, is mainly intended for circuits. Particularly on long journeys, where comfort is particularly high, the PASM absorbs small and medium road bumps better than a passive standard suspension. A further reason why Porsche Active Suspension Management is to be noted positively is that it can react quickly to rapid and short-term changes in the vehicle which may be caused by the driver. This means that if for some reason the driver has to make rapid steering movements, the PASM ensures stability on the road. The system increases the damper force in both axles, which reduces body roll. In sport comfort mode, body roll is prevented by increasing the damping force. This is different in the sporty, taut mode. There the damping is lowered to give the car better contact with the road surface. This reduces bouncing and displacement of the car and at the same time leads to a gain in comfort.
