The air suspension system from Citroen
The already somewhat older air suspension system on the Citroen side consists of a control unit, an air supply unit, two height sensors and two pneumatic cushions. In addition, the system has a pneumatic suspension on the rear axle of the vehicle, which provides significantly better protection and a plus in comfort by optimally adapting the air suspension system to the uneven Ground.
How does the air suspension system from Citroen work?
The height sensors of the system measure the distance to the stop and if it is the case that a change of the distance is detected, the information of the distance is automatically transmitted to the control unit. When this process is completed, the compressor of the air suspension system is used. This corrects the distance and then the vehicle is brought to the required height. Basically, it should be noted that the air suspension system installed in the vehicles optimises both the comfort of the vehicle and the driving experience and safety on the road.
