The Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) air suspension system

The currently highest level of adaptive chassis control on the Volkswagen side consists of a strut axle in the front section of the system with additional coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers. In the rear area of the DCC there is a multi-link axle.

The Dynamic Chassis Control System from VW has two different chassis controls. The standard version of the DCC brings driving comfort and driving dynamics and the second chassis control, the sport version (the DCC R-Chassis), has its comfort potential more in the direction of Sport.

How does the Dynamic Chassis Control air suspension system work?

With the air suspension system DCC it is possible to drive the vehicle in three different variants. The "normal driving style", the "sporty" and last but not least the "comfortable driving style". During such a driving process, the sensors of such an air suspension system detect the most varied driving movements that can be triggered by the driver. Be it braking, steering or acceleration. In summary, this means that the air suspension system from VW permanently reacts to the road surface and the driving situation. With the DCC, the damping of the vehicle and the steering adapt to the most varied settings, giving the driver an enchanting driving experience.

The advantages of the Dynamic Chassis Control System

Through the work of Volkswagen and thus the creation of the DCC, a change in driving the vehicle was created. The driver now has several driving versions and is no longer bound to one driving version as was the case in the past. In addition, the Dynamic Chassis Control System from VW is easy to operate. The DCC can be controlled by pressing a button in the centre console of the Vehicle.
